2002 GR created in 1974.Members of the band were Elias Asvestopoulos, Giannis Chatzisoglou, Giannis Giokarinis, Giorgos Kalaintzoglou and Andreas Tsantas.In the same year their first album is released with the title "Pola" by Music Box (MBI).Before the creation of the band 2002GR Elias Asvestopoulos took part as a singer the second half of '60's in the band "The Persons". In this band participated Giannis Spathas and Antonis Tourkogiorgis who after the band "The Persons" formed the historical yet band "Socrates Drank the Conium".In 1976 the second album is released with the title "Σιδερένιος Άνθρωπος" and with changes in the original line up of the band. Andreas Tsantas and Giorgos Kalaintzoglou departed the band and in their gap Stelios Karaindros and Sotiris Karaoulias came in. At that time the band made at the same time many appearances in different clubs through Greece.In 1982 they released their third album with the title "V.O.L. 3" and after the departure of Giannis Giokarinis from the band making solo career. On keyboards Kostas Ganoselis came to fulfull the sound of the band. This album became gold and platinum before even pass six months from the release date.This album is the found in the career of 2002 GR.4 albums follow:"Amomoria"(1984),"2002GR"(1986), "Πέστε με τρελλό"(1989), "Μπανάνες"(1990).In 1990 Stelios Karaindros depart and replaced by Giorgos Andriotis on drums.In 1991 the album "Best of...Vol I" is released.In 1992 the album "Best of...Vol II" is released.In 1993 the album "Τα βράδια τα επόμενα" is released.
