ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ is not a building that straggles to survive a commerce business.ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ is countless individuals who are struggling to survive the business in art.Leonidas Papageorgiou was on his 6th year at Med school of Athens when he was summoned to sign the sale of ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ just afte the death of his father.In November of 1993, at the notary, with the sale drafted and the byers with the check oh their hands, Leonidas just didn't sign...He left from this life in last April in the age of 50 having created a modern cinema with a theatrical scene and infrstructure for multi musical events.Having hosted anyone who's trying to attempt with passion art.Having sulflessly support the new Greek filmmakers.Having resisted to decline of the center of Athens.Having everytime the belief that "PATISSION STR., LIVES".All this weight of the past activities and the liability of the future we keep and continue from Lenidas me his sister and me his cousin.He for his uncle and father who said « my little uncle my big brother ».I'm saying about him, my father, my brother, my mentor, my friend, my Leonidas, My ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ.As he envisioned it, the one who turned it into an excellent projection venue of the 7th art, but also a theater and music, just like that ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ will march on in the years to come.ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ deosn't be chosen but chooses the actions which present and doesn't choose but be chosen by the audiance.This winter, first projection movies, again the festival of Drama, again Musical Tuesdays, theatrical shows for children, puppets every Saturday, cine specials, theatrical and musical events at 21 Kodrigtonos & 101 Patission Str.An institution will be each April for as long as ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ will exist, the "Film festival of Leonidas Papageorgiou" as a minimum dedication sample to what he created.ΤΡΙΑΝΟΝ is always an abettor of the center of Athens lovers, takes the responsibility accounts in the venue of culture and offers as long as refusal to ugliness exists and consciousness of beauty.
