The theater was built in 1993 in honor of the great tragic poet Euripeidis who had his retreatment in the region of Peristeria of our island. It was inaugureted in September of the same year from the minister of culture at that time Mrs. Anna Psarouda Benaki.It's located on "Patris" hill and has a capacity of 3000 seats. Events are made there (mainly during the summer) such as major concerts and theatrical performances. Access is possible either by car at the north entrance (where there is a large parking space), or by foot from the south entrance (M. Alexandrou str.).
